  • New bar, taproom and garden nestled within 150 year old Victorian rail viaducts in the heart of Bankside

St Felix Place is a new tap room and indoor/ outdoor food and events venue by client Venue Group, housed in two railway arches in London Bridge.

Studio Ageli helped deliver the client’s vision for this simple project, including: facilitating Network Rail and Building Control approvals; coordinating and delivering the outline scheme and various details (layouts, materials, levels etc) with the construction and consultant team.

With an eye on budget, the emphasis was to find ways to economise by retaining/ reusing/ integrating as much of the existing as possible. One such example is the large bespoke Crittal style windows and bi-folding doors, which incorporate steelwork left in the arch.

The design intent was to celebrate the arches and viaduct, which are beautiful architectural structures that have stood the test of time. New materials are a light touch, discreet and in-keeping, and the interior continues the rugged and industrial vibe.
