  • After Florence, Vienna, Zurich and Monaco, Cantinetta Antinori is bringing the finest Tuscan hospitality and exquisite wines to Harriet Street, Belgravia, ideally located just off London’s famous Sloane Street

In a characterful period building decorated with curiosities from the Antinori family collection, Cantinetta Antinori brings over six centuries of Tuscan heritage together with a vibrant design to deliver authentic regional cuisine and its world-famous wines.

A rich palette for the interior includes handmade artisan wallpaper, and bespoke fabrics and joinery, with brass and marble detailing. Spaces include a bar, a private dining room and several other dining areas over three levels.

The existing shell & core space, was fitted out with new services including ventilation, water, electricity and gas. The structure was modified to include two dumbwaiters, and part of a stair removed to increase covers. In the basement, a new kitchen was built, with the challenge of connecting kitchen extract and ventilation to the roof (some five stories up). Fitting all of this into an existing space required a great coordination and design effort involving a large team, led by Studio Ageli as Lead Consultant. Several permissions were obtained including landlord approval from Cadogan Estates and planning permission from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Studio Ageli worked closely with brand owner Allegra Antinori, partner Mead Operational Management, as well as interior designer Archflorence to achieve this vision. Our scope of work including producing drawings for the project, coordinating consultants, working with the approved inspector to achieve building control approval and with specialists and the contractor to deliver the scheme.

Studio Ageli developed the layout and basic scheme in early workshops with the client and design team. The design intent was to create a vibrant and welcoming London home for the Marchesi Antinori brand. It is wonderful to see the restaurant launch, and receive positive press-attention and interest. It has been a pleasure and to work with Giraudi Group again, who along with Berkmann and Marchesi Antinori form the client group for this exciting joint venture.
