Broadcaster starts using the HQ we delivered earlier this year.
It is a great pleasure to see the space being used and the news room come to life.
It was a challenge to accommodate all the different departments which include technical, managerial/ administrative, writing/ research/ presenting and production teams. The building was originally open plan and so our task was to try and give the HQ character as well as clarity of space. Given the depth of the plan, bringing light and a sense of continuity into the heart of the scheme was essential.
This was partly achieved by using the same simple materials throughout and highlighting certain moments in the scheme with colour, graphics or quotes, which all help to mark important rooms, orientate/ navigate and also break up some of the longer corridors.
The client remains a friend of the practice and routinely recommends Studio Ageli.
